FOOD FOR THOUGHT

WHILE WORKING ON YOUR BUSINESS

So much of the success of your small business is dependent on how well you manage yourself and how you think about your business. Below are ten questions that may help you think of your business in a different way:

  1. If you were to sell your business in five years, what would you do differently today to create
the highest value to a potential buyer?

  2. What parts of your responsibilities are the most important to drive profit to the bottom line?

  3. If all of a sudden you were not able to work on a daily basis, what would you have to do to
      keep your business going?

  4. Do you loosely plan your day out or do you prefer a more structured approach?

  5. How often do you perform a task because no one else can do it better or faster?

  6. What are your most important daily decisions?

  7. Do you spend “quiet” time thinking about how to improve or solve the problems of your business?

  8. When you hear the terms “business planning” and “budgeting,” what comes to mind?

  9. At the beginning of each month, do you set a target goal for sales?

10. Do you have a Chart of Organization? If not, how would it help?

Being a small business owner can be a frustrating experience. If any of the above questions generated new thoughts on how you can improve your business, it is time for us to meet. If you are interested in seeing how we can help, please review Our Coaching Program for more details.
