“Part of what makes it so satisfying to run a small business is that it incorporates so many facets – planning, sales, people management, risk taking and so much more. Dan Lutchansky understands all those elements, and he explains them in a very organized way.

STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT

GENERATING REVENUES

Complete Marketing Campaign Development

In order to develop a successful marketing campaign, it is essential to understand that winning new customers is a step-by-step process. For a sale to take place your customer has gone through a series of steps like the following:

  • 1. Interest is generated
  • 2. A decision is made to investigate further
  • 3. Solutions are considered
  • 4. A commitment is made

Most marketing dollars are spent by small business owners trying to generate interest. However, this is only the start of the selling process. For example, what is said to a prospect responding to an ad or a direct mail piece impacts the decision by a prospect to investigate further. It takes strategy and skill to get the prospect to take that next step.

It then becomes necessary to get information from the prospect so that the right solution is presented in an appropriate manner so that the decision to buy naturally takes place and is not forced.

CRITICAL STAGE

You are now at the critical stage of the selling process. The prospect is thinking of saying yes so you need to get the commitment and close the deal.

The entire selling process is explained in much more detail in our book, “Getting in Business to Stay.” We are passionate about helping small business owners develop the strategy and implement the skills needed to take a prospect through the entire selling process.

We don’t have a set program since small business owners have different backgrounds, experiences and skills. We have successfully worked with all types, including technical wizards who before they met us, couldn't sell their way out of a paper bag.
